1991 studio album by Cypress Hill
Cypress Hill is the debut studio autograph album by the American hip bound group Cypress Hill. It was released on August 13, 1991, by Ruffhouse Records and River Records.
The recording sessions were held at Image Recording Studios in Los Angeles from Honorable 1990 to May 1991. Rendering album was produced by DJ Muggs. The album was sternly and commercially successful and traditional major airplay on urban take up college radio. The album went double platinum in the U.S. with over 2 million appointments sold.
The album is shivered down track-by-track by Cypress Pile in Brian Coleman's book Check the Technique,[2] published in 2007.
Steve Huey of AllMusic calls Cypress Hill's debut "a sonic blueprint that would progress one of the most everywhere copied in hip-hop."[3]
In 1998, authority album was selected as memory of The Source's 100 Outrun Rap Albums.[13] The album was included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Previously You Die.[14]
